Lake Shafer
Lake Shafer is one of two reservoirs located in the Twin Lakes area of Monitcello, Indiana. It was created along with Lake Freeman in the 1920s when two dams were built outside of Monticello on the Tippecanoe River.
Tippecanoe Country Club- Golf Course
Tippecanoe Country Club is a semi-private club that is open to the public. The beautiful 18 hole, par 72 course is a challenge for the competitive golfer, but is a pleasure for the casual golfer. Its scenic 6,850 yards are meticulously groomed and is considered one of the finest in the state.

We are a family-owned business, established in 2006. We make a variety of wines, all at our Monticello production facility. We offer wine tastings during our normal business hours, you are welcome to stop by for tasting, purchase bottles, or stay for a glass on our patios! Monon Connection Railroad Museum and Whistle Stop Restaurant
Over 6,000 items of railroad artifacts and memorabilia. On display are hundreds of handheld lanterns, over 40 brass steam locomotive bells, brass steam whistles, dining car china and silver, and other artifacts that were a part of everyday life on the railroad. The Whistle Stop is adjacent to the museum and offers a full service menu. along with a fully stocked salad bar.
Prophetstown Water Park
The Aquatic Center features a 30-foot tube slide, body flume, lazy river float area, adventure channel, zero-entry pool with play features, and an aquatic activity area with basketball. The bathhouse has showers, changing areas, restrooms, lockers (guest provides the lock) and a concession area.

Lake Freeman
Lake Freeman is a reservoir outside of Monticello, Indiana formed in 1925 by the completion of the Oakdale Dam. Lake Freeman, together with its sister lake, Lake Shafer is part of the Twin Lakes region, a popular summer recreational area centered on the town of Monticello.

Wolf Park
Wolf Park is home to a variety of species including wolves, coyotes, foxes and bison. They live in semi-natural enclosures in small groups. Our HOWL NIGHT programs allow visitors to see and hear the wolves during the time of day at which they are most active. Our staff discusses communication and other behaviors while the wolves serenade the evening.
